Hello dear hearts..
Welcome to the Blessed Hearth tonight..
Another weekend has passed and we are beginning another week of Summer..
Love it so much..
We have been having glorious weather ..
Thank you, Lord..
A bit of rain and then a few sunny days..
Some are hot and others are lovely and breezy..
Today, I wore a sweater at the shop but by late afternoon it was a bit warm..
Just right, really..
We are having Old Home Week here in St. Martins and there are more people about..
So happy to once again see some sweet customers from past Summers..
On Saturday we had the Village Yard Sale..
My Mom and Step-Father had several tables set up across the street from my shop and had a great time..
Mom enjoys seeing people from her childhood and lots of relatives and he just plain loves selling stuff..
They were tired but wanted to back home that night because of their cat.. grin..
We put some stuff in the room that Terry worked on at the shop..
It is not done but it will have to do until Fall..
There is an antique carriage, an old drop leaf table, some enamel ware and such..
We have been enjoying a bit of BBQ cookery with a new potato recipe from HERE..
( I left out the butter) in the evenings and enjoying our Rhubarb Cocktail Drinks from HERE..
We both love our mason jars for drinks..
Bought the covers and straws when we were across..
Oh and we now have Herbal Tea for sale at the shop..
Perhaps someone will like to sip away on a nice cuppa while browsing about.. smile..
Last night when we came back from church we drove to the end of our street and looked at the gorgeous moon shining across the sea..
What beauty God has granted us..
So thankful..
Well it has been a busy day and I am ready for bed..
Thanks so much for visiting..
Just a few looks into our life here in Maritime Canada on these lovely Summer days..
I love your comments as you know and we will chat again soon, I hope..
Take care, my friends..
Hugs..

I declare Faye, you sure do make a chicken leg look mighty good!!! I'd love to pull up a chair to your table one day. What a lovely time you and your family had. The moon is beautiful. God is so good and such an artist, isn't He? I truly love Him for His handiwork. A beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteI love the views of the people on the street through your window. So sweet and homey. The baby buggy is pretty neat. Imagine comparing it to the modern ones of today with special suspensions and big wheels to bounce along while jogging. How times have changed! I enjoy my visit today and wish you a wonderfully blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI love your moon photo! Amazing beauty...Amazing love from our God. Amen!

Morning, Faye, lovely summer days and nights, that moon is so beautiful.......yum yum, looks so tasty.......Summer Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your pictures. They are so well done. Have you thought of framing some of them. They would look lovely hanging in a room.
ReplyDeleteFaye, your shop looks so inviting with the teas and goodies. Sounds like so much fun with the flea/rummage sale. I love when all of my family sets up at the Ringle Harvest Day - we are usually close together and people often get my sisters and I messed up... :) I don't know why - any one can see I'm the cutiest one... :) My brother's bible study/church is on it's 3rd week - we already have run out of chairs. I plan to start the "Keepers of the Home" meetings this fall. Looking forward to inspiration from your past and future posts about your meetings. Our eldest daughter is getting married in January and will still live close enough to attend. She will be a "keeper of her home" soon. Blessings from Ringle, WI.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about the rhubarb drink. I had completely forgotten about it. YUM! I love the jar idea. Enjoy your day and God bless.

ReplyDeleteWe sure can't complain about the NB summer this year. The weather has made going and venturing outdoors so enjoyable. I am sure that the old home week fair is a blast. How lovely a yard sale on the street. I love the idea of sipping on a cup of tea while browsing your store. Such a welcoming homey feel.

Every time I pop in I feel like we are sitting down to tea. Something about your pictures or your something... ... it's lovely. I sit and listen to your thoughts and enjoy stepping into Canada for a short visit. I have never been there, and I been a stones thow away for some time now, just haven't made it up there. *smile* I am sure what I immagine of Canada and what it is like are two different things, but the place sounds lovely. *smile* Mind you the USA is a lovely place to be and I am learning to find joy in the dry lands as I found the beauty in the wet lands when I first moved there. *smile* Every spot has it's purpose and beauty. *smile*
ReplyDeleteI had better go, but I wanted to be sure to leave a note this visit. *smile* Thanks for sharing your thoughts and lovely pictures with all of us. Have a wonderful evening and a delightful week. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
I love the thought of sipping on a cup of tea while browsing in your shop Faye! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos as always. With love, Carly xx

The photos you have posted are so lovely...I especially like the older couple walking along and holding hands. My grandfather was born and raised in Digby Neck, Nova Scotia, have you heard of it? I hope to visit Nova Scotia in 2 years and am relly looking forward to it.
