Hello again..
How are you all?
My dear husband went to a little auction yesterday and came home with a few little finds for the shop.
It is hard to believe that in just over 2 months we will be back at our cottage and hopefully open the shop for the Summer..
I have to admit that today does not resemble anything like cottage weather..smile.. We are having quite a storm tonight..
I didn't go to the auction but he came home with a lovely old table.. It has an enamel top and a drawer for cutlery.
I'm sorry I didn't take a pic but you probably remember them.. My Gram had one that she used for kneading bread .
He also brought home a little book shelf..(no pic)
A great little box of lace..
Pretty, eh?
The shop has prim crafts but also some antique stuff and there is a cupboard full of vintage kitchen stuff..
So these will fit in there.. It was a box lot.
An old electric coffee perk and two syrup dishes..
You could use these for homemade salad dressings , too..
And a little Dutch lamp.
so cute...
I just had to add these two pics of our weather today..
The car was completely iced up..
We had to go out to do a couple of errands..
This ice storm started yesterday .. Our daughter and her family were on their way home from Florida but thank the Lord they arrived home safe and sound...
It is so great when your children get back from their vacations..
Typical mother, eh? smile..
This is a pic I took on our way home..
Snow and ice..
I was glad to get home.. smile..
Terry wanted me to make this when we got back..
Rice and Raisin Pudding..
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a casserole dish whisk 3 eggs and 1 cup of sugar
* I used Splenda..
1/2 of a vanilla bean scraped..(or 2 tsp. vanilla)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup of raisins or more..
3 cups of milk
Add 3 cups of cooked rice..
Mix up well.. Sprinkle with cinnamon..
Bake for 35 minutes..
Thanks for visiting dear girls..
Take care and have a great week..
Love to you all..
