Summer's Joy....

Hello my dears..
So glad you dropped by..

It has been a very busy week here in St. Martins..

Several dear friends were camping down here this week and we have enjoyed visiting together  so much..

It is so great to get with friends who know what you mean just by looking at your expression.. They have seen it enough in the past to know exactly what you are not saying.. grin...

We shared such sweet fellowship and I will cherish the memories ..

Just sharing a few little pics of Summer with you tonight..

I don't like to admit it but I do think that Fall is beginning  to hang around a bit..

At night especially when the breeze blows the curtains over the top of my head I am sure I can feel it... smile..

I don't want it to hurry at all.. I love Summer...

So, Fall can just take a back seat and wait for it's turn.. grin..

Anyway...
We have decided to stay at the cottage a few more weeks than earlier planned..
I didn't realize until the other night just how close Labour Day Weekend is this year..
Much too early to close the shop and go home..
So...
We will not have the closing until later in the month..

Terry is bringing down another fifty pounds or more of cucumbers tomorrow plus two bags of tomatoes..

I will once again smell like a garlic clove.. grin..

I hope I don't but sometimes I find myself explaining..
"If you smell garlic then it is just that I made some dill pickles this morning"... grin..

It is not really that bad but you get the drift, eh?

Fall is not the only thing that hangs around this old cottage and jumping all over us.. smile..

Dear old Sam...
He's a good dog...
I always think that when he has gone home with Terry .. smile..

Thank you dear friends for stopping by and I look forward to reading the little notes you leave so that I know you were here..

Oh... and to my old friends who read my blog every day..
THANK YOU..
grin...
You know who I mean... smile..

God Bless...

  3. Hello Faye, My, you do keep busy! I wish I could be there to help you with your pickles tomorrow. You have so many pickles that you must eat them every day or do you send some home with the grandsons? Glad to hear you are staying at the sea for a few more weeks. Enjoy.....the snow will be blowing before you know it!

  6. Dear Faye, I have noticed that the last couple of nights I have be waking up cold. I'm afraid that fall is trying to creep in. Like I had said before I don't like the cold. So it can wait awhile longer before it sets in. The other day the Kids, Mom and I went blueberry pickin'. We got nine quarts all together. Blueberry pie made already thanks to Mom. Miss Ya. Love Ya. Hope You are taking some time to relax out of your busy schedule?

  10. Oh Faye;

We didn't get to Saint Martins last week as we had a last minute change of plans. My current plan is to travel there either this week, or next weekend. I will be sure to let you know.

By the way, in Sussex, we too are feeling fall drifting closely beside.

  14. It has been getting cooler in the evenings here in Oregon. Cool this a.m. when I went out to check for the newspaper. Oh dear,...but warm enough to wear the light blouse I wanted to wear for church today. I saw some sunflowers this week. Ones in a field coming back from my brother's where I picked up my sister to take her back home to WA. It was along the interstate, by the fence but you could see it. It's a favorite field to see many times of the year. Other sunflower was in WA after dinner with sis and her fiance later that evening, by the harbor...so beautiful there! Have a nice week. Am enjoying your blog's music. Enjoyed Fernando Ortega's song. I have a few of his CDs.
