Hello my dears..
Here we are into the second day of Spring here in Eastern Canada..
A snow storm moved in over night and we woke up to this..
Typical March weather..
But that is fine.. Warm temps today ...
We had some sweet company after church on Sunday..
Someone had a yen for looking at Mom's photos..
smile..
And someone else has lost a tooth..
They are getting to be such big boys...
They enjoyed the ribs and rice and salad..
Salads go over well in this family..smile..
Then one day this week Terry and I had our town day..
Look what I found..
Several crocks from the Thrift store again..
Please note... Laurie..
One for you.. smile..
And two heart molds which I love..
This is what I did with one..
I love the new look in kitchens of hanging tools and pots and pans..
So like the UK mags.. smile..
I put up a tension rod above the stove and hung utensils on it..
Terry put a hole in the heart mold so I could hang it..
Then I have one to sell in the shop this summer..
Doing some planning these days for the shop and Keepers Meetings, of course..
We have another meeting in 2 weeks..
How are you girls doing with your homework? smile...
Have you done a back to basics chore for your home and family yet?
Here is mine...
I will share what is in it later..
And give you the recipe..
Here is another pic of a visitor we had over the weekend..
Dear old Charlie..
All decked out and ready to visit..
I am so glad you dropped by..
We have had quite a week..
My sweet Aunt Eva was put to rest today..
She had a lovely funeral and everyone was so kind..
I will miss her...
Life is full of saying good-bye, isn't it?
But some day we will all say good night here but good morning up there...
Thank you for your visit and I look forward to hearing from you all..
I see I only need one more person to join this site and we will have 400 followers... Neat, eh? smile..
Oh and thanks so much for your sweet emails wondering if all is well..
I finally figured out my problem with the computer pic thing..
And Sammi is stable for now..
He is not well..
It has just been that kind of week..
I will try to get and comment on your lovely blogs now that the worst if over..
Take care sweet friends..
Sorry to hear about Aunt Eva, may she rest in peace. Hope Sammi is feeling good, too. Hopefully the warmer weather will be here to stay. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Faye, It has been a difficult week for you, hasn't it? I am so sorry about your Aunt Eva. So many memories you will hold close...especially when you go to the farm. I love your utensil rack....I have one that hangs on the wall. I have had it for years...some of the utensils on it hold some sweet memories for me. I am happy that Sammi is holding his own for now. Enjoy your cute little puppy!
ReplyDeleteSincere sympathy and blessings,
Susannah
Evening Faye, so sorry to hear about Aunt Eva, bless her soul......No Spring here either, cold wind chills.......Love Charlie wearing a tie, adorable.....Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteThat was quite the storm up here Faye, as we got 40 cm. of snow. It melted down a lot today in the warm sunshine though. We can use a lot more of these sunny days. You have had a busy week. I like your mini crocks. I have two of the dark brown ones with the wire clamps. Were they for cheese? I hope you have a good weekend. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteAwe...sorry about your Aunt Eva, oh so hard to say 'good-bye' for now,
ReplyDeletethe blessing is she is now at rest and knowing everyone & you will be together again! Hugs, I know it's so hard! I am glad all went well with the funeral.

Good thing we have the hope & knowing that spring will come and we will have the Lord to help us & give peace.
A bright note my sister Lisa from two sisters just made you get to 400 followers! Yea! Do we win the trip to New Brunswick? (wink) Happy for you!
Your ribs were such a reminder for us and we ours and we called them
"Mrs Henry-ribs". Thinking of you & have missed you.

ReplyDeleteOh, Faye, I'll remember your Aunt in my prayers now. I'm so sorry. Your post, though, always makes me feel good. It's snowy down here, too... whither goest thou, Spring?
ReplyDeleteDear Faye:
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the loss of your aunt. One day there'll be a wonderful reunion:)
Loved your pictures, as always!
Kim
Praying for you in loss of your aunt. It's a comfort to know we'll see dear friends and family again in heaven. We were at a memorial service last week. We've had cold rain and wind these past two days. Hugs.
ReplyDeletedear Faye what would we do without you xxx
ReplyDeleteHI Faye;
ReplyDeleteYou have had a full week, so sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt Eva. I hope that Sammi is back to himself soon, it's worrisome when pets are ill.
I helped place my neighbor with dementia in a nursing home yesterday. I was so thankful to be included in the process as she has always been such a good friend. The nursing home is so bright and cheerful with such lovely staff. I think that the home cooking and lots of activities will help to perk up her life. My husband, son, and cat are making a trip to visit her tomorrow with me as we try to help her adjust. Such a big step on the road of life.
Thank you for thinking of me when you found the crock - you are always so lucky on your thrift shop forays.
By the way, loved the picture of Charlie in his tie!
Laurie
Always so nice visiting here Faye...so inspirational.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great crocks. Years ago I had several...there's a cheese factory here that sold crocks of it and so we had many of them...sold them all over the years at rummage sales.
Sweet little visitors - so adorable with the tooth out...lol
What a lovely outlook you always have on life...I admire you dear friend.
Karen

ReplyDeleteI love the tension rod above your stove with all the utensils. I may just have to borrow this idea! It looks so cute. And handy to have everything available right there where you cook. I love the photo of cute Charlie in his tie. He is all dressed up for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt Eva. You will see her again someday!
