These days..

Hello everyone..
Hope you are all having a great weekend..
We have been having some lovely hot weather the last few days.
So nice as it really feels like Summer has arrived..
There are so many lovely things that I love about this season..
Don't you?
So long as it is not too hot, of course..
Rain is once again in the forecast for the first of the week so we need to enjoy while we have it, I think..

Just sharing a few pics with you tonight..
I don't seem to be doing very well blogging lately..
I think everyone is too busy to be bothering reading this stuff but anyway here I am now and then..
I love my little work area at the shop..
It has turned out lovely..
I can still interact with the customers and putter away..
These are some primitive homespun buntings that I made this past week..

And this is my first big purchase that some dear girl bought..
With the rain it has not been busy at all and so am very glad when the sun comes out..

She loved the olde stuff.. smile..

Then here are some Foot Soaks and Hand Scrubs..

All made and packaged..

I have so many old torn and tattered embroidery pieces and decided to put them to a different use..

Some modge podge and later when they dry a bit of ink on the edges..
And to and from marked on the backs..
I packaged them in cello bags and tied with ribbons..

Tonight there was a lovely wedding on the beach..

The bride's Mom emailed me and wondered if they could take some pics in front of our old barn..

I took a couple of pics of them when they were back on the street..

It was a burlap and lace style of wedding..
The girls wore cowboy boots and it was very casual..
The bride was beautiful..

I pray that God will bless this marriage..
With happiness and joy down through the years..
That it will sustain and be solid..

Tomorrow is the Lord's Day..

Please pray for the dear people in the small town in Quebec where there has been huge explosions due to a train derailment..

It seems that there is just one disaster after another in our world..
Lives are being lost and families are crying out for help..
The weather is setting records everyday and nothing is as it was..
Our country needs to turn back to God ..

The Bible talks about the last days in
 Luke 21:25 NIV
There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars.. On the earth nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken..

There are many scriptures describing our world today and warning that the Lord will be returning for his people..

In Matthew 24: 42-44TLB
So be prepared, for you don't know what day your Lord is coming.. Just as a man can prevent trouble from the thieves by keeping watch for them, so you can avoid trouble by always being ready for My unannounced return..

The Bible tells us how to be prepared to meet our God..

In Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God..

Then in Acts 2:38 Peter condensed it all in one verse..
Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost..

If you don't know Him tonight please don't wait..
He is coming soon..

It is wonderful to live with peace in your heart knowing that He is in control...

Our families need Jesus to steer and direct their lives..
We can lean on Him in these difficult days..

My heart is heavy tonight for this old world that needs God and are living in fear..

Trust Him tonight with your heart and He will be faithful..
Remember He is as close as the mention of His Name..
He is right there beside you and waiting for you to call on Him..
He loves this world...And He loves you and me..

So once again I have opened up my heart to you..

Praying for you..

  3. Faye, it seems all I do is pray.....from when I open my eyes in morning until I close them when I go to sleep. I believe it is the End Times, too, there are just too many coincidences. xo

  4. I so enjoy your posts! I think it is so neat that your barn was the backdrop for wedding pictures... I'll bet they turn out lovely. I hope the weather clears up so that your shop business will pick up.

  6. Good evening Faye, I am never too busy to stop by to visit. Oh I love that old barn too. Young love is so precious. Just hope they put God first in their lives. And such a good devotional. I agree, the Bible is fulfilling every day. And so much disasters everywhere. God's return is sure to be approaching. I am so praying and living my life as to be ready. I so wish everyone would take heed and listen to the Word. All we can do is watch and wait. Thanks for another great post. Hope you have a blessed Sunday. I know you will miss your home church, but enjoy service with your daughter.

Your shop looks charming:) Thank you for the Scriptures, our world is in such turmoil.

I had mentioned that I thought I would get to your shop today, but I was unable to make it. Oh well, soon enough!

  11. I love the buntings, just so sweet, the fabrics just "make" these!
    Lovely bride, lovely photos.
That last one of your old barn, it looks almost like a watercolor print.
It would make a very nice note card photo.
I love your tags, with the embroidery.
Wouldn't have thought of that I have a friend in Machias, Maine that will love the idea of your tags.
You are very clever! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas & your heart.
Can a heart help but pause and think on your encouragement?
I can not help but feel the hope & assurance behind it.
    Hugs & blessings!

Oh the bride looks so pretty - my niece is getting married next month and her wedding is Burlap and Cowboy boots too...she's a farm girl true and true.
    Blessings,

  14. Another great post! First - for using your blog to be a ministry! Yes, our world needs Jesus. Second - for having great ideas - love the modge podge tags - I might have to steal that one too. The buntings are great - I have to make a fall one for my booth at Ringle Harvest Day. Blessings from Wisconsin.

  15. Your bunting is beautiful! It has inspired me to make a summer one for my house. The embroidered tags are so cute & vintage looking. You are very creative! What good words to end your post. Just today I was trying to remember the Luke 21:25 reference to share with a friend. Thank you and God bless!

  16. My thoughts have also been on the Lord's soon return lately...it started when we drove through NY and saw all the flooding then our first night here there was a tornado watch. I'm so thankful that I know HIM and that I can be assured of how HE cares for his people. I\m reading the book of Isaiah now and despite all the bad things that are happening God's protection of his people is evident.

  17. Oh sis, you are so right, God is coming back soon! Just as He keeps His promise to fill us with the Holy Ghost and to heal our infirmities, so will He keep His promise to return for those who have kept their garments washed and spotless and their lamp filled with oil!
I hope your weather has been nice this week, ours has rained a tiny bit, nothing to complain about, though.
    Hugs, Cindy

  18. Dear Faye... I just found your blog this morning and I am reading backward :^)
You have done such a beautiful post, that I have to comment and say AMEN and again AMEN. I am a long way from you, but the same Lord is watching over us and blessing the hearth in both of our homes.
Thank you for a wonderful post, and your shop items are beautiful, I just wish I could get there!
    Blessings to you from Texas,
    J
