A Lovely Visit...

Happy Monday everyone..
How are you all this evening?

We visited our daughter and her family yesterday after Sunday morning service..

They had returned home safe and sound from Florida last week so we went down to see them..

It was a lovely visit.. Our grandsons are growing like crazy..
The dear things..

Shonda cooked a wonderful meal..

Turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, squash and dressing..
Sooo good and then coffee and apple crisp..

Her wonderful husband did all the cleaning up..
Thanks, Dave..

As usual, I look around to see any new decor... smile..

She had new little gathering in her foyer..
Very prim, I think.. smile..

You may have noticed that I do not put pics of the grandsons on my blog.. Only once in a blue moon..
Their parents prefer that I abstain... So, I do..
You will have to take my word that they are handsome..

I can show you their cat, though..

Meet Buddy...
Him and I have a lot in common..
Fat and lazy... grin..
Sorry Buddy...

After we had spent the afternoon there, Terry wanted to go and check the cottage as we were so close..

The old place was still standing..
Thank you, Lord...

It is just waiting for us to arrive for the Summer and it will come back to life..
Lots of boys running up the back stairs to their clubhouse..
Terry mending things and  I will be getting the shop open and ready...
Lots of company dropping by trying to get cooled off in the  Bay of Fundy..
Only a couple of months, now..

Here is the lighthouse over in West Quaco..
My uncle Skip helped to build this..

There were a lot of boats out waiting to come in..

It must be lobster season, soon..

The tide is coming in, now..

It is a bit rough out there tonight..
We need to get home... An hour and a half away..

Hope you all had a blessed Sunday..
Our pastor preached on grace yesterday..

No matter what your trial is dear ladies, the Lord will be there and go right through it with you..
He is faithful and as close as the mention of His name.
He will give you grace to make it ..
Such a privilege to know Him...

Thank you dear ladies for your sweet visit..
Looking forward to hearing from you all..
Peace..

  2. You must be getting excited to get down to the coast although the bay looks very cold in your pictures. And I know it's cold for swimming even in summer! I love it there though. Walking along the rocky beach and exploring the caves. A very beautiful spot. Your daughter is very pretty and her home looks lovely. Blessings, Pamela

  7. Hi Faye,

What lovely photos. Is that sage green on the walls at your daugther's? Love that color.

    Cute kitty. :)

I especially love the water photos. I love hearing the water coming up on the beach and hitting the rocks. And I just love lighthouses.

Take care dear friend, Janet W ((Hugs))

  8. I've said it before, I know, but Shonda clearly takes after her talented mother and has a wonderful home and cooking skills!
The pics of the ocean are captivating - I could almost hear the breakers!
    Best wishes

  11. Your pretty daughter has a beautiful home. I LOVE those floors. I know what you mean about not putting up photos of children, I don't do that either, so sad that there are ugly people out there who would come onto our blogs and do things that an honest person would not do.
Have a beautiful Tuesday, dear friend.
    Love and hugs, Cindy

  12. I forgot to tell you that I loved seeing a photo of your cottage and the Bay of Fundy. I learned about the Bay of Fundy in school and would love to see it one day. Wouldn't it be fun to visit you at your cottage one summer. I'm dreaming again...

  13. Hi Faye, Shondra is a beautiful lady, you must be so proud. Her house looks lovely and she certainly must have took after her Mom for the decorating skills. I bet it was nice to get to St. Martins to check on the cottage, you will be there before you know it. The first day of spring and suppose to be 19 degrees. :)

Can't wait to get back to the cottage and shop with you. You are so kind to take us along. When I see photos of the area they just take me away. I immediately wish for a beach cair and a good book. 15. Hello. Thanks for sharing the great pictures. What a joy to be able to visit your daughter and still sleep in your own bed. *smile* We do that with my parents when we see them and it drives my mom crazy! *smile* Poor thing. I can understand about the pictures of kids on the internet. I am discipilined not to do that as well. In fact I don't tell but that we have two and their ages. I don't call people by name on my blog either, I use the nick names we use in our family. *smile* I have a hard time sharing pictures of our area except I have really enjoyed yours so shared some from our last trip. Have a great day and thanks again for sharing the lovely ocean with all of us. Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!
