What happened to my blog site this morning and questions..

Good Morning dear friends..

I just wanted to explain what happened to my blog site ..

When I went to the Blessed Hearth this morning all was well..
I read your lovely comments and then went to my email..
Later on I clicked onto my site so I could read my blog list and my Google Chrome stated that my site was infected and to go back..
Needless to say...
I panicked...
When I went to Explore Net it came on fine and nothing happened to my computer but with Chrome it said it was infected..

Anyway..
After much searching on the Blogger Help which was no help I emailed my dear cousin in Montreal and she sent me a link which really showed me what to do..
I was not infected really but a link to my site must have been..

So ...
I had to delete my blog list.. (sorry) and my music widget..(sorry)
Those were the two things which came up in red..

Before all of this I had gone and deleted my last post, my spam comments and other links but that did not help..
When I deleted the ones that were in red then my site is OK again..
Thank you, Lord and whoever it was that created the site to help.. And my sweet cousin Sara..

Has this ever happened to you?
What did you do?
Does anyone know if I can put a new blog list on again
or my music widget which we Canadians can not hear anyway?
Are you bloggers on Google Chrome?
Thanks so much in advance for your help..

As I deleted last night's post I have included a few pics of our Valentine's Dinner and my gift from my hubby which was the many hours of cleaning of an old set of copper pots and making S-hooks so I could hang them..

Thank you, too to those who commented on the post which I deleted..
I did read them and appreciated them even though I ended up deleting .. So sorry..
I did not need to do that but you know me and panic.. grin..

I did include the recipe for the delicious soup, too..

I found this recipe in 2001 when I was giving cooking classes and just got around to making it last night.. smile..
Dinner..
Ham baked in cider and cloves, herbed potatoes and sweet carrots..

My make over from the previous post..

Old marmalade jar utensil holder...
And I wanted to mention to who ever wrote the comment about my kitchen last night that it does look yellow here but actually it is cream with creamy mustard counter tops.. smile..

These are the true colors of the walls..

You know me and my love of prim colors..

Anyway..
Thank you, thank you... for dropping by..
I hope this is all resolved and I will try to figure out the way to get my blog list back on here..
Remember, I am not a spring chicken and this computer stuff is a bit complicated for me.. smile..
Take care, dear hearts..

I was so pleased to be featured at

  1. I read your earlier post through Chrome and didn't get a warning. I do however get warnings when I try to read any blog posts that have links to something/someone called Debbiedoo's. It's happened to me several times in the past couple of weeks.

  2. Hi Faye, for one, Blogger has been having problems lately, various ones, that come and go. I have Google Chrome, and certain blogs I was getting the big red warning. I know one blog was badly affected from a WordPress virus or something, and anyone with her blog on their list had a problem. There is one blog I haven't been able to read in over a year because of this warning, but she posts about twice a year so it doesn't matter much ;-). Sorry you had to go through this first thing in the a.m. I miss the Amazing Grace hymn that you used to have, maybe you could imbed that one, easier than a play list. xo

    1. Blogging can be kind of complicated at times, eh..

  3. Just curious what link did your cousin give you to help you find the problem? I use GrooveShark for my music. I've used Wikplayer in the past and really liked it, but it interfered with my blog loading on mobile devices, so I went back to GrooveShark.

  4. I tried to look at your blog last night and got that message. I'm glad you got it figured out! That has to be frustrating. It has never happened to me, thank goodness. I wouldn't know what to do.

Hope you have a great, stress-free weekend, Faye :)

  6. I am not on Google Chrome, mainly because I don't understand what it's all about. I have never had this problem that you describe, thankfully, if I did I would have my hubby, who is very computer and website savvy to help me, I guess. He builds websites, so I think I should ask him about the Google Chrome.
I'm glad you have gotten it resolved. I would hate for you to lose your blog! :( Your soup looks yummy, I have pinned it. I pinned several things that you pinned recently, the artistic ones. My daughter wants to learn how to paint, I shall share some of them with her.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Faye. Love and hugs, Cindy
PS I received the autographed card from your cousin in the mail, thank you so much for doing that for me!

  7. Faye, could you give us this website to check on the blogs? This very thing happened to me last week... from a friend's blog, someone who lives here in my area. I reported it to her in email, but when her husband went in to check it (he is a computer whiz) it was gone. It was a link on her blog, just likes yours, and came up RED on my screen and told me to go back.

    Thanks, Mary Ann

  8. That's an interesting situation Faye. I haven't had any problems linking to you and I sure would be upset if that all happened to me. I don't know what I'd do. I don't use Chrome just Blogger and like Cindy, don't understand a lot of the other set ups. I hope all is well now and that you have your favourite blogs written down so you can follow them again. I guess that would be an important thing to do - keep a list of our faves separately. Take care. Pam

  9. HI Faye;

I am impressed with what you do - both on your blog and off! Without a blog of my own I have no ideas or suggestions to share.

Love your copper pots - polishing them up was a great gift from Terry. One year for Christmas my husband rewired and shined up several lamps I had dragged home from thrift shops and yard sales. He even sourced out a specific type of glass shade one of the lamps required. It was certainly a labor of love and a HUGE surprise!

I also admire your idea with the marmalade pots. I have one, but three would be better.

  11. Hi Faye, I do not use chrome. I had a lot of problems anytime I used it. I am having issues with Blogger and thinking of switching over to Wordpress.com. Thankfully, you could resolve the problem. I liked to say that I enjoy visiting your blog. Blessings, Anna

  12. Glad you are up and running again. A few months ago I got the blue screen of death on my lap top. I panicked that maybe my photos were gone. After a bit my husband told me to shut it down and reboot and it was fine! Oh the fun of electronics, right! and I want another one? HA!

  13. You have such a lovely blog, I'm happy things are well again! I always panic too when things like that happen on the computer. I'm always having to call my kids for help! Have a blessed week-end.

  14. Oh Faye,
This has not happened to me, but I know what you mean about computer stuff...it can be so frustrating at times. The split pea soup looks so delicious. While I was glancing at your kitchen, I noticed that the decor was a bit country? I love country kitchens - they are so very charming and cozy. I do hope that you get things worked out with the computer. Have a relaxing weekend, dear. Nel and Jess had "girls night out" as you saw on our post, and as for me....I will be at home getting well from this flu bug that I've had all week.

  15. Just saw your link over at The Chicken Chick’s link party and wanted to come over and check out your utensil holder! It's so cute!
I'd love for you to link up a few recipes or crafts at my weekend link party that is going on right now (well, until midnight tonight, lol) @The Weekend re-Treat!

And super scary story about your blog being infected. That would totally freak me out!

Hope to see you link up tonight!
