Hello everyone..
Just a short post to wish you all a blessed Easter day tomorrow..
The picture above is of my little sister and myself many years ago..
Our Mom loved putting us in little dresses with satin ribbons in our hair..
smile..
My dress was white with royal blue.. I still remember..
God has blessed us so much down through the years..
About the time this picture was taken our Dad heard how Jesus died on the cross for his sins and that he could be forgiven of his sins..
He gave his life to the Lord and then so did our Mother..
What a change came to that little home so many years ago..
My sister and myself later found Jesus for ourselves, too..
Down through the years Jesus has been our Hope because He rose again and conquered death, hell and the grave..
He has blessed us with lovely families and our grandchildren are now older than we were in this picture..
He has saved our souls and healed our bodies and answered countless prayers..
He has been faithful..
Our Dad has gone on ahead of us to be with the Lord but because Jesus Christ died and rose again He has given us the hope of meeting our Dad again and of eternal life..
And because He lives we can face tomorrow..
Tomorrow with it's fears and it's pains...
Sorrows will be comforted and joy will come in the morning..
Isn't He a wonderful Savior?..\
If you have time read Isaiah 53...
It will touch your soul... smile..
I feel so blessed to have you all in my life and am so thankful that our lives have touched each other..
Have a wonderful blessed weekend..
Looking forward to hearing from you all...
Hugs..
Bless You, Faye, and your family.

I can not wait to see my Dad again who died so young (41) and suddenly. I live to see him again. Thank you, Faye, for your wonderful post tonight. Have a blessed Easter Sunday tomorrow.

Happy Easter to you!
Beautiful words...and what a sweet picture. Sometimes we get so caught up in the hoopla of the holiday we forget to sit and reflect on the true meaning. Kaden gave me that moment yesterday. When I said it was good friday..HE reminded me that "today is the day Jesus died." I love that my little man knows about these things! Happy Easter Faye!
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Easter. He is not here, He is Risen! I am So glad our Savior is not dead in some tomb, but that He lives and is coming again to receive those who belong to Him, to Himself. So shall we ever be with the Lord!
ReplyDeleteDear Faye,
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful post. Isn't it wonderful that Jesus loved us sooo much that he suffered so, and died and rose again that we may also have eternal life?
I know that he does live. That he is my Savior and that I will see him some day and thank him. :)
Have a very wonderful and blessed Sunday
Take care, Janet W

ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family. I love the picture of you and your sister. I did the children's Easter message at our church. I was telling them about the women coming to the tomb and Jesus not being there. One of the little boys in the class said, "He wasn't there, he was up walking around!" I loved that. Enjoy your day and God bless.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy Easter, A lovely post.Is the picture of anyone you know.ooxx
ReplyDeleteWe are so very blessed to know Jesus! Happy Resurrection Day!!! I'm so glad that you have touched my life, dear lady and now we can be friends.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your story, Jesus make a huge difference in our lives, doesn't He. I never tire of seeing God work in people's lives time and time again.
Love and hugs, Cindy
I have pictures like that with my brothers and sister. Both of my parents and my sister have gone before me. My dad, a preacher's son, was not to "keen" on us being raised with God. I used to resent him so much, but close to his death, he ran back to Jesus' arms and I ran to Jesus' arms when I was 47. Isaiah 53 I have read many times!!! I AM SO THANKFUL HE HAS RISEN!!! I hope you had a wonderful Easter, but really when you think about it, isn't every day Easter. :)
