Herb and Shop Ideas...

Greetings to you all tonight...
A beautiful evening it is here in the Eastern part of Canada...
School will be over this week so there will soon be an influx here in this little seaside village... smile..
I had said I would share some herb ideas this week...
This is what I made with the chive blossoms...
This morning I measured out the blossoms and put them in a glass pot..

There were 4 cups of flowers which you cover with 2 1/2 cups of boiling water...
And tonight I found this...

Pretty, eh?
Well you make this the same as the apple blossom and dandelion jelly...
In a large pot put the tea.. at least 2 cups..
4 cups of sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice...
Bring to a high boil which takes a few minutes on high heat..
Boil for a couple of minutes and then add 1 packet of liquid certo..
Boil for a few more minutes and then pour into sterilized jars..
It made 4 x 250 's ....
I liked this... Terry smelled the tea part and said he was not sure... grin...
It would be so good on sandwiches or even on hamburger rolls...
Anywhere you would use onions... Right?
Pretty, too..
If you give this a try please be sure and let me know how you like it.. These jellies are so easy to make and hardly any time involved...

This morning I worked at cleaning here at the cottage and then around lunch time I went over and opened the shop..
Not many people around yet but I had lots to do..
When I was home I had made some deodorant but did not put the covers on...
This is what I came up with..

I made them out of wrapping paper that I had picked up  a while ago...
The deodorants are in wee mason jars..

I made sweet orange..
A customer liked this one best today...

And lavender...
I gave one to my friend a couple of months ago to try and she said it was the best deodorant she had ever used...
Isn't that great?  She is one of my best customers..
Anyway.. just thought I would share that with you as I know some of you like making this stuff and are trying to sell it...

I am a bit tired tonight so this is all I have...
Here is a wee pic from the shop...

Kitchen tools from yesteryear...
I love the old boards don't you?
Have a lovely evening which is almost over here and I need to get upstairs..

Remember to praise him tonight for His faithfulness...
Love and Prayers...
Faye..

  6. Hi, Faye, everything looks divine. The paper made great lid covers. I have made dandelion jelly as well as violet. I see no reason not to make chive jelly! Ours aren't blooming yet but it sounds great so I will be making some. Green and red bell pepper jelly is good, too!
