Just thought I would share a little project with you that I finally finished today..
I persuaded Terry to take a couple of cupboard doors off..
I have a little white ironstone collection and I thought I would like the doors off..
But it needed something..
So, I made a little bit of homemade shelf liner..
I like it and it was so easy and quick to do..
I have a couple of sets of this old encyclopedias..
I like using the pages for projects..
In fact, I have a Pinterest board on it HERE..
But for today I used my punch that I bought from Michaels with a coupon...
Measured the width of the opening and then punched the edges..
Set one in place and folded over where I wanted it..
Then used a ruler to rub the edge really tight so it would lay down..
I taped them together with clear tape ...
I thought about using my brown distressed ink for the edges but these are naturally aged enough, I think..
I thought you might like to see a couple of pages from
the book..
My Dad used to sing this to my sister and I when we were little..
I even sang it to my babies... smile..
And then this dear little poem...
I have such a love for old books..
