Hello everyone..
Just a few pics of the last few days..
After being in the house for a week my dear husband took me for a little drive yesterday..
We went up to check on the farm..
Lots of snow up there..
It was so nice to stop for a coffee and go for a nice long drive.. Today we are stayed in again.
I managed to get my Christmas closet all cleaned and decluttered and repacked..
What a satisfying feeling to get it all sorted and done..
The surplus is headed for the Salvation Army..
I kept out a few snowmen for another month or so..
It is still Winter here for a while.. smile..
I have been doing a little baking..
Homemade bread and orange muffins..
Turkey Casserole..
I don't think we want to see turkey for quite some time.. smile..
We are feeling much better, thank the Lord..
Thank you so much for dropping by and visiting..
Enjoy having you all and look forward to hearing from you..
Do you have some Winter projects on the go?
Take care, my dears..
Hugs..

ReplyDeleteso glad you two are doing better,
ReplyDeletea quiet day here to home for me.
ripping some seams and removing some elastic
from the casings, chasing dust bunnies,
and I made an apple pie.
The snow photos are lovely and I'll take one of those orange muffins with a cup of tea, thank you very much. It's cold tonight and may have snow at 500 ft. level or not tomorrow. Will wait and see what the morning brings! Winter projects include making fingerless gloves for myself and getting my desk/computer table back into a good order. Sigh.....it's hard to keep up with everything but must be done! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know your feeling better. The pictures look lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that you are both feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like you are keeping cozy; warm winter food, and a bit of organizing.
We are confined to the indoors also... watching the snow, and keeping warm by the fire.
I'm going to try to re-paint and decorate the bathroom.
Cross another thing off of the 'to-do' list.
Hopefully, my inside work will be all done, once it gets nice enough to start my outside work in the gardens :)
Good morning Faye, I am so hungry now and can't wait for lunch time, after seeing all your yummy home cooking, although my lunch does not look at all that good. :) It must be so nice to be feeling back to yourself again. My winter projects so far are knitting some scarves for a few special people. I am learning how to do a no knit one tonight actually from a friend and hoping to try it on the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Krista
Your pictures are beautiful. I love the one with the old barn. The muffins look so good. Maybe you could share the recipe? I think your muffin tin might be made different than mine. Yours look more slender and tall. I like the way they look. I am glad you all are feeling better. Enjoy your day and God bless.
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is watering - you would be great at photographing food for a cook book!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better!
Blessings
Christine
Your photos... coming here always leaves me with a feeling of a warm cozy blanket.
ReplyDeleteSo homey. ;)
Oh Faye, thank you for sharing. I am leaving my snowmen out too because that is all that we have for any sight of snow! We have had one dusting and that IS IT! I always say "snow for Christmas and then it can go away" but now I am feeling like I should have been careful what I asked for...kinda' missing the snowy touch :(
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me to bake a loaf of bread for my FIL who has been under the weather and get the blueberry muffins that the boys have been asking for baked, thank you!
Kendra
I love the photos! The food looks delicious as always, especially those muffins. Yum! Glad you were able to get out and about a bit :)
ReplyDeleteI just love a drive!! Glad you were able to get out of the house for a bit. I haven't taken down my Christmas decorations yet... besides my Nativity set most of my stuff is snowman themed so I think I'm good til MArch or April- LOL
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. I've been sick here too...and I am missing some nice Winter weather. I could be going snowshoeing or something. Well, hopefully it will stay nice till I feel better. Blessings from Ringle, WI.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm... much to love here. I'll be back!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
Good morning, Faye~ your snowy pictures are so beautiful... I especially love the first one and the last one of the barn. Except now my feet feel cold.... *grin*
ReplyDeleteYour bread and muffins look delicious... and the turkey casserole~ do you have the recipe on here? Or, better than that, did you save me some of yours? *haha*
So glad you are feeling better... not sure what has been going around our family but it was rough. I hope I don't get a visit like that again anytime soon....
Hope you have a wonderful day, sweet friend.
Your bread looks wonderful, I am making your Cinnamon Raisin Bread today. I tried the Rye bread, but I think I put too much rye flour in and my yeast is getting old and so it turned into one big lump that did not raise. But the cinnamon raisin looks and smells delicious! We will sample it in a minute.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you're feeling better, the muffins sounds good, I need to make some, hubby takes two in his lunch every day.
Blizzard conditions here today, my hubby has to drive his truck for ten hours in it, I'll be praying off and on all night long for him.
Good to hear from you!
Hugs, Cindy
Hello Faye,
ReplyDeleteI visited your blog today - I saw you on sweet Lucy's blog. I loved looking at the snow pictures, as I don't see it that often. They're beautiful. This bread looks so yummy. My sister used to make homemade bread, and we would all have a slice as soon as it came out of the oven with butter. While I was reading, I noticed we have some of the same interests and I, too, have been with my husband since highschool and have three children. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is very cheerful to me, and you have many creative ideas on here. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
