At the close of another day...

Hello my friends..
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and to my fellow Canadians I hope you had a lovely Canada Day..

Such a beautiful weekend here in Eastern Canada..
Lots of sun and lots of people around..

My shop was very busy..
Thank you, Lord..

I was so happy when a few girls came in and said they were so excited when they saw we were open again.. smile..

Now, another day is drawing to a close..

Another month is over..
And now it is July..

Looking forward to having the Keepers of the Home here at the end of the month for their over niter... smile..

There was not any church tonight as it is camp meeting time ...
It was too far for us to go so we went out to a very special place
here in St. Martins..

Salmon River Bed and Breakfast...
Wonderful food..
And we ate out on their lovely veranda...smile..

Anyway, I got an idea for the salad for the Keeper's Supper..
Now to come up with the rest of the menu..
smile..

The shop will be open again tomorrow so I had better bid you all a fond adieu and go upstairs and listen to the tide come in..

Thank you for your dear visit and I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your encouraging notes last time..
I did need to hear you are out there..

Sometimes, I think I need to take a break from blogging but if you are reading then I will try to keep writing..

Deal?  grin..

Sending hugs your way...

  1. Faye, Happy Canada day first, but your blog always makes me feel so restful, even if I have been busy all day. I have never known if you have a website for your shop... do you?

  4. I always read and enjoy your posts. What a blessing it must be to hear the tide come in as you drift off to sleep. The Lord is so good. I was bitten by a brown recluse spider this morning as I watered my outside flower pots and through good advice from a health practitioner friend and wonderful care by my sweet husband I am much improved tonight.

  5. Hello Dear Heart, Hope you had a lovely Canada Day! I was thinking about you and wondering how hot it was there today. It was about 85 here but not alot of humidity. Tomorrow they say more humidity comes back..YUK! I really can't say I will enjoy it!!!!! Good thing we have a wonderful pool and this old grandmother will be floating in it tomorrow, for sure!!!! Say hi to to Terry and glad the shop was busy. A busy day is always a good day when you are in business...this we know.

  7. I enjoy reading your posts as well. Sometimes I wonder if anybody reads my blogs since I don't get alot of comments. But my stats tell me otherwise. We were supposed to have church service outdoors today but it was raining too much so it was inside, packed building. We usually have 2 morning services. Lunch downstairs and upstairs not outdoors...but dessert was later. And fun times with llamas and horses, bouncy house and a slip and slide for the kids and brave adults! Hoping for warmer weather but we get what we get from the Lord. Happy Canada day to you!

  9. Faye, I'm so glad that you had a busy day at the shop. I'm sure it makes all of your hard work worthwhile. And while I may not comment all that often, I do so appreciate that you take the time to write your wonderful posts. I check everyday to see if you've written something and always feel like I've had a visit with a friend when I read what you've written. By the way, we've had really bad weather down here in Maryland. The temps at the end of the week were around 100 degrees and Friday night we had a terrible thunderstorm with 80 MPH winds which did alot of damage. Nearly 800,000 people were without power after the storm and many will still be without power for about a week. Praying for all of these poor folks. Take care and Happy Canada Day to you.

  10. I wanted to drop a note and thank you for your blog. I live in Mexico and serve the Lord alongside my husband who is a missionary. The Lord has used you to be an encouragement to me. My best friend passed away last year, and I miss the comfort of that relationship....she was my mom. So, the Lord has used you to kind of "take that place" in a way because of your willingness to be a godly, older woman to those of us who are younger. Thank you again!

  12. Dear Faye;

To me your blog is like a visit with you. I am always so pleased and charmed to see what you have written.

I can understand that your blog may be a chore during the summer while you are running the shop - would it be possible to blog at the shop during the lull between customers?

  15. Dear Faye ~ of course it would be sad not to be able to visit you. But maybe have a break for a couple of weeks if you need to...blogging seems to go in phases, doesn't it?
You have so much more to share, along with the kind sweetness we always receive from you, so never doubt your blogability!!
    Sweet dreams by the sea...
