So this was Christmas!!! ❤❤

Hello dear hearts...
Wishing you a happy new year and hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Tis hard to believe that it has all come and gone so quickly, eh!

We had a most wonderful Christmas with our family...

Bu tI have found it hard to get back on here... obviously!

Nevertheless...Here I am.... 😙
Here are a few pics of our Christmas!
Preparing is so much fun I find but to be honest I am getting so slow at it all..
Oh well...
Here are a few pics of make and dos and some decorating...

The grown up's table.. lol..
Our grandsons are all in their twenties but to Gram they still sit at the grandson's table along with their wives and friends.. 💓
catching up before dinner

The kids were so great about helping as always...
Bringing turkey, ham, sourdough bread, squash and such.
Oh and a couple of plates of mixed sweets...
Terry and I did veggies and desserts and such..
Even with all that help I find it overwhelming until the meal is on the table then I enjoy myself immensely!
What's with that, I wonder!  😏

a new puppy

Everything was so good...

A few make and dos..

Homemade Nougat and homemade paper pages bags for the nougat and set at each place.....
crafts
autumn glory for gifts.. made with pumpkin...
paper crafts.....

Homemade spice mixtures for gifts...

homemade orange potpourri for gifts...
a bread making day for our church family.... we kept the rolls.. then forgot them in the freezer.. lol..

Gramps and I..... loving it all...
so thankful for the family he has gifted us with...

We all so missed our youngest son....
The hardest thing is realizing how far away he is...
especially on this day...
But God gives me peace ....
And Dustin is such a wonderful son..
We love him so much as do all of us...
my box of presents from him..💓💓

Anyway...
This was a gift that I did for Shonda...
I put it in an old tin of her grandmother's...

homemade gift bags and there were tags and such...

made a few journals...

Gifted each one with a book from my library that I thought they might enjoy.

Then had fun wrapping them all with brown paper and homemade ginger cookies...

This was the grandson's favourite gift I think ....
a stack of pics for each one of them of our dear old cottage in St. Martins..
They spent a lot of sleepovers there and they mention it so often..
The old house has been completely changed over and there is no recognition of the dear old quaint cottage that they loved..
So..
thank heavens for this blog as I went wayyyyyy back and gathered the ones of each room and of them there...

They took some time sharing them and remembering.....
And they thanked me so much for that!
The dear boys.... 💓

Then gifts....

and dessert.....

and a yankee swap which we all love so much..

This was another new thing I did for Christmas...

Canned Cranberry and Orange juice to make punch with...
Thanks to Sarah and Shonda...
It was a bit tart and I think it was because I used grapefruit..
That ended up being all I had..
Bought instead of oranges but they doctored it up and I loved it..

All fall I gathered china teacups...
I did have a lot at the farm but it was such fun..
We put a piece of orange in each cup and way we went...

Spent hours sitting around and just chatting and drinking coffee and such..
Jordan walked in with his nice coffeemaker and a wonderful blend of coffee... such a treat..
So much fun!
How could we not be so thankful..

We all have our families and we all love them...
It is just that this is my family... my husband and my children..
Thank you dear Jesus....

One of the things I am thankful for is that we get to be in the same church as some of our family....
Trevor and Tammy sat ahead of us during the Christmas service and I took this little pic....
Then an updated pic of our all five grown grandsons...

And this is a wrap....
Our last pic but Trevor and Tammy had already left as he had to work...
So.. dear hearts from our house to yours a very happy and blessed New Year 2024..
May Jesus reign supreme in your lives...
Love you all and thank you so much for reading my scribbles here the last many many years..

I saw this on the web and thought
oh.... how true, Lord...

My advice  for 2024 to anyone who wants to read it is this...
Jesus is coming back just like He said...
Please prepare to meet him if you haven't...
Just look for Him and He is there...
He is as close as the mention of His Name...
Go to a church that preaches the full gospel and search your Bible..
Pray and ask Him into your heart and for Him to lead and guide you.
Then follow the path that is written in the New Testament...
Okay .. 💓💓

Praying all is well in your world..

Love and Prayers..
Faye...

Will be looking forward to hearing from you..
Love love your notes... xoxox

  3. Faye, you continue to bless all your followers with beauty, crating, food, and let us into your home. Thanks for making Jesus the most important person in our lives. Get into the WORD, because the WORD becomes flesh and dwelt among us, and we now have The Holy Spirit, too. The TRIUNE 3 in one. Happy New year

  6. You my dear, are the example of Proverbs 31 woman for so many all over the world. You are the definition of a true homemaker! Yes, Jesus is coming soon!

  7. You're family is very unique. I would very much like my family to be like your family. How do I make my family like your family? What does it take to make my family like your family?

My whole family is short. How do I have a tall handsome family?

  11. This is a wonderful post dear lady. I am so glad you had your holiday with your family! Everything looks terrific, all the trees, and lights, the house on the hallway table ( it's especially appealing), the journal cover, which never fails to bring me joy when I see it, and on and on. You have such a style of presentation. That is one of the things I have admired about you. Add the fact that you willing share with us here and that brings me such pleasure.. You are a treasure that is for sure! I hope you and Terry will continue to be blessed and that the Lord continues to bless others through you too. More than a dozen years have passed since I first ran across your blogs, both of them and you still bear good witness and joy in living. So thankful for that. Hugs and prayers for the New Year! Annie

  12. So glad you and Terry had a wonderful Christmas with your family. We had a wonderful Christmas as well. Each year I have to pause and wonder if this will be our last Christmas together as my mother is getting on up in years. But, then again, none of us know when our time is up. So thankful we know the Lord and Prince of Peace. Looking forward to the say when we all get to Heaven. What a day of rejoicing that will be. I love that old song! Praying you have a blessed, healthy year in 2024! RHill, TX

  14. This is such a cozy corner of the World Wide Web. Everything about your Christmas makes me yearn to have this, the deep love and connection of family, Jesus & handcrafted gifts for when my teens are grown. The photo of your grandsons just melted my heart. You are blessed. Thank you for blessing us by letting us peer in.
