Good Evening everyone..
A snowy day here in good old New Brunswick..
Makes it feel more like Christmas somehow..
Just posting some pics of our weekend for you along with some of our dear daughter's decor...
As you know, Friday night we spent with our youngest son as he had to work the rest of the weekend..
Saturday night was such a lovely time..
Attended a nice festive supper with some lovely ladies and then attended the 40th annual Living Christmas Tree in Moncton..
It was beautiful and a lot of fun..
Made a few wee door prizes..
Then the next morning early headed to St. John to our daughter's church...
It had stopped raining and was nice and sunny..
We went to their Christmas play and then back to Shonda and Daves for lunch..
Our oldest son and family were there also.. smile..
Shonda had the table set and the food was delicious..
Trevor brought some, too as there was quite a crowd..
They remembered their Mom's big day and there was another birthday cake..
This birthday takes a lot of cakes.. grin..
The dining room is done in silvers this season...
Coffee maker, extraordinaire
and some grandsons who are growing so much...
A few snowmen...
Uncle and nephew..
Trying to get a pic of Grandma's cake... smile...
A little bedroom decor..
Sweet chats over coffee..
A bedroom vignette...
Love those old windows...
Someone had to work on a project..
All weekend.. sigh..
My fave bathroom...
Then after a long afternoon of sweet fellowship we went to hear some Christmas music...
Those two lads were my favorite.. grin..
I don't know where they get the talent ..
Not from their grandparents that is for sure.. smile..
A blessed day and God is so good..
Family is so important and I always want to be thankful..
And thank you so much for dropping by..
I love your sweet comments..
I think I am doing something major wrong as this site is being unfollowed more than followed lately..
I wonder why...
Maybe someone is trying to tell me something.. grin..
Take care, dear hearts..
xo

I've been looking for a new post to see how your weekend turned out...I thought of you on Saturday night- wished I could have gone, probably wouldn't have won a door prize though- LOL...
ReplyDeleteLove your blog not doing anything wrong
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a very busy and fun weekend going to concerts and celebrating your birthday. I would love to have gone to The Living Christmas Tree. My two nieces were in it and have been for several years along with their sister. The end of an era. I love your Santa birthday cake. Really cute. And I always enjoy seeing Shonda's beautiful home. She has some really pretty decorations and sweet vignettes. You must be exhausted after all your adventures. I hope you have a restful week. But, somehow I doubt it. You'll be cooking and sewing and decorating won't you. :-) Blessings my friend.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you had a wonderful time . Lovely photos . Shonda's home is beautiful . Your not doing anything wrong on your blog it's their loss if they stop following, just means more for us hehe ! Have a good evening !

ReplyDeleteHave yourself a cozy night! Let it snow!
I haven't gotten a new follower, I can't remember when. But then I am not exactly out there following a ton of new blogs either. Every now and again someone drops off my GFC too, I guess they felt neglected, or bored. :) I love your daughter's home. xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful time was had by all!
ReplyDeleteI Love your Blog! Don't always get a chance to leave comments as I am always in a hurry these days! Hoping things will slow down in the New Year!
Have a wonderful evening!

I enjoy your post. Don't worry people come and go on these blogs. They get to many and cut them down. Then find out they miss them and add them back or add more.
ReplyDeleteFaye,
ReplyDeleteNo way! Not you! Maybe people just give up blogger or something in general. I lost someone a few weeks ago. I don't know why- maybe too many pictures of a messy desk at school... :)
I loved what you shared! Just beautiful vignettes, and it was so wonderful to see your family. I felt like I was sitting across the table! The cake and Shonda's house were just precious! I loved her snowmen! And I agree, that bathroom was awesome! Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us! I enjoying seeing you on pinterest too! :)
Blessings, dear friend! You are highly valued!!!!!
Heather
Happy Birthday...Late! Looks like a wonderful weekend to have had a birthday, family you are so right, it's the best!
ReplyDeleteI don't miss a post I'm still here....I'm thinking that I'm writing only to myself at times on our blog. That's OK, because at least my children are having things chronicled for them. Although I do miss comments and chatting. We don't do Facebook so I'll stick to blogging ....I hope you do too :) As I always say your a encouragement to me!
Blessings and good night~
Laura
Sounds like you had a very fun birthday weekend. How wonderful that your daughter enjoys decorating as much as you do and her home is beautiful! Isn't it nice to share something like that with your daughter? She also shares your love for prim, doesn't she. Thank you for showing us her sweet home.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see everything and hear about your weekend.
Love and hugs, Cindy
Hello Faye, you certainly had a wonderful birthday weekend. I am really loving Shonda's snowmen with the trees. They are so cute and different. Her home is beautiful. Perfect spot for her geranium in front of those beautiful bathroom windows. But most of all.......how proud you must be of your two grandsons that were singing with the choral group! How nice!
ReplyDeleteTalk to you soon.

Happy Belated Birthday to you Faye! What a beautiful way to spend it, with family. Wow everytime I see pictures of Shonda's house, I love it more. Who knows maybe someday I will see it. Sounds like you had a great weekend, enjoying it with family and eating lots of goodies. My trees are up and decorated and I am going to start wrapping tonight hopefully. Please don't give up blogging, I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Krista
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. I love those pear ornament/tags. Very creative. Your daughter's home is beautiful - or at least the part we see. Love the color of bathroom! Blessings from Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Faye,
ReplyDeleteGoodness your daughter has the same knack for decorating as her lovely mother! I love that she used all the silvers and whites - so sparkly.
Your time spent together sounds so delightful.
Blessings,
Karen
Wow~ Shonda's house is gorgeous! She is quite the decorator... and I love that bathroom too. I can just see the two of us in the bathroom together ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the decor and everyone outside wondering what in the world we were doing in there. *haha*
ReplyDeleteYour cake is precious... you are getting an awful lot of goodies for this birthday... hmmm. :)
I've noticed that not many people are blogging anymore for some reason, so I'm sure it's not you... *grin*
Several of my blogger friends who used to leave comments for me all the time have just quit all together... kinda sad, but I understand what a time drain these computers can be.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
I love your pictures. Looks like you had a wonderful day. The cake is so pretty. Shonda's home is so nice but of course she has her mothers good decorating skills. I love reading your blog. I think perhaps people are really busy right now. You are certainly doing nothing wrong. Enjoy your day and God bless.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like a perfect weekend! Love love love the Santa cake. Too cute! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Faye;
ReplyDeleteShonda's home is beautiful - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as they say!
I hope you have a lovely week.
Laurie
Dear friend, Faye:
ReplyDeleteI only recently began reading your blog and what a warm place it is to visit. Never analyze the "statistics!" Blog to bless your readers, to bless God, to record for your family the heart of who you are... your blog documents forever the love and nurture you bring to your family. The fact that you invite us in to witness the acts of a Keeper at Home tells of your generous, hospitable spirit and shows all of us that you want to glorify God in your life.
Don't begin to compare your blog spot with others -- your comments/responses to what other blogs receive. God had a plan for you to reach out and touch those ladies that He wanted you to reach -- however many for however long. "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus..." And let the Lord take care of the rest... AND it will be the Lord that convicts if your blogging ministry is to be layed aside...
But we all hope it won't be! We are all busy with focusing on Christmas plans and will understand if you need a break to keep The Main Thing the main thing.
Wishing you a truly blessed BIG one (birthday *~D )
a Merry Christmas
and a wonderful New Year!!
