A little country drive....

Hello dear hearts...
Just a little pictorial for you today..
A wee field trip Terry took me on ..
He was trying to help me feel better..
Does a little drive help you to take your mind off of a sadness or some stress sometimes??
It does help for a bit, eh?

Our Sammi is gone..
He was a good dog and we will miss him..
I know that he was an animal but one gets attached..

Such a dear old dog...

Anyway, sweet friends have a blessed Lord's Day..

Thank you thank you to you new followers and to you dear faithful readers who always visit and leave your lovely comments..
I appreciate it so much..

God bless...

  1. Oh dear Faye and Terry, I am so, so sorry...from the bottom of my heart. He was a good dog and he was with you two all the time. They are our family. We have been through this twice and then also, my own doggie that I had growing up. Her name was Minnie (a cocker) and I had her until I was 18. It hurts so much. I know you are deeply sad. Please know tha Jim and I will be praying for you. God will take care of you on this Palm Sunday.

  7. Oh Faye, I am so sad to hear about Sammi, he always looked liked he was grinning in your dear photos of him. I am sure he is at Rainbow's Bridge, happily playing with the other pets.

  13. Your country side photos are beautiful. I love rolling hills, thats one things we don't have here in Manitoba. The hills are few and far between.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet pet, it is hard to see them go, even if we know they are not well and in pain.
Have a lovely Sunday, sweet lady and I know God will comfort your heart.
    Hugs, cindy

  14. Sending hugs and prayers your way in your loss of your dog, Sammie, and recent aunt? Animals definitely love us and we love them back and it hurts when they are gone. I know the feeling. Enjoyed your back roads photos. I drove the back roads yesterday on way home from dentist. Lovely and green, some places. Today we went the back road from a friend's house where we dropped off boxes for moving. I scored a hanging lamp for the family room....free! Helen had it out in the garage and she invited us to check it out. Phil grumbled but lamp was first thing I saw. It'll work, need to hang it up today, after Phil checks something out on it. Can't figure out if a part needs screwed in more or left along. I drove back road to not meet up with outlet mall traffic that's big this weekend due to spring break. Country roads, take me home to the place where I belong, West Virginia, mountain mama, take me home country roads. (John Denver) I had to sing it to remember the chorus! :0)

  18. I'm so sorry. Sammie was a cutie with a such a funny face. I know everyone is telling you this...but, there isn't a day go bye I don't think about our old dogs that have passed. We have 3 buried out here. Along with pet bunnies...I'm just glad they were a part of our lives - I enjoyed each of them. I know Sammie had a nice life and you enjoyed him too. Blessings from Wisconsin.

  20. Faye, my heart goes out to you both, I know it is very, very tough and have recently gone through this too. Comfort yourself with thoughts of the love and care you gave him, all through...that was one contented dog. God bless you at this time...the pain will ease, and the warmth remain.

    Dear Faye:

So sorry for your loss of Sammi. Pets become a part of the family and their passing causes such sorrow.

A drive can help take my mind off for a short time as well.

  30. Oh dear Faye, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet Sammi dog. I know you will miss him terribly. I think I recognized a couple of landmarks in your country drive photos. Is the old weathered house at the corner of the road near Corn Hill? I took a pic of it last summer. Looks the same to me. ;) May God comfort you, my friend. Hugs, Pam

Love your country drive pictures; hope you are soon feeling better; I know you are looking forward to opening up the shop again.

  33. Oh, Faye. Your sweet Sammi. Oh, how different these days are now for you. It hurts like a knife. His scent. His little places. The times in the day that he liked different things. What precious memories you have of your pooch. A beloved family member.

Much love and hugs to you, dear Faye and Terry.

Prayers for comfort, and sympathy for your deep loss,
    Kelley~
